Designing Your Life
What’s in the space between where you are and where you want to be?
Is there a gap between the life you've built and the life you want? And if there is, what’s in the gap?
That gap, when we look at it clearly, is usually filled with the emotions held by our past selves and past experiences. These could be:
Fear (you’ve been down that road before, it doesn’t end well).
Disappointment (don’t get your hopes up).
Worthiness (who do you think you are to want that life).
Intimidation (would you even be able to sustain that life).
These emotions loom in the gap and have the power to keep us motionless even when all of our instincts are telling us to move.
But what is the life that could emerge if we were building from The Resonance Signal outward?
Creating intentionally is the work of closing that gap. Step by step, decision by decision. Your Resonance Signal tells you that each time you make a choice from your Values rather than obligation, from your Intuition rather than noise, from your Self-Authority rather than waiting for permission, you are quieting the voices of dissent within you.
And these decisions, are what Conscious Creation looks like in practice. The Gilbert Resonance Model defines it as the deliberate process of building towards something while being grounded in the direction Future You is pointing. With each choice, you are designing your life. And gradually, you’ll start to notice that what takes shape is uniquely and unapologetically yours.
We're in Week 3 of the Living From the Inside Out arc. Each week builds on the last and we’ve been clearing ground. Week 1 (The B-Word: Boundaries), re-tuning to our values and Week 2 (The Practice of Letting Go), setting down what no longer belongs. And now, with steadier hands and a clearer signal, we turn toward what we want to build.
The question I'm offering you this week is:
What am I consciously choosing to build, and does each choice bring me closer to it?
You don't need the whole architecture. Just one step. One choice this week that is genuinely in alignment with what your signal is pointing toward.
